Every house I have lived in (so far). The text reads, “1. Cornelia Street: In which I spent my first nights safely nestled in a basket.  2. The House Down The Hill: In which my baby sister and I spent a lot of time playing on the wooden floor.  3. Louie Lane (Home): In which I grew up. All of the important stuff.  4. The Gate House: In which I lived with five different girls in three different rooms.  5. The Main House: In which I danced to The Ramones. Alone and with a buddy.  6. Eliot Street: In which all my roommates dropped out of college.  7. Essex Street: In which I made a lot of art and music and love and poop and empty cans.  8. Sciennes: I which I learned a lot of things in a very short period of time.  9. The Cabin (at Home): In which we lived alone together at last. In the tiniest space.  10. Above Brown’s: In which I gained a lot of independence.  11. The Apartment (at Home): In which I braced myself for the beginning of adulthood.  12. Summer Street: In which I experienced some real triumphs and disappointments.  13. Pleasant Street: In which I struggle to stay in the present.”

Mobile Home, 2011: video documentation of performance; in 2011 I traveled for two months, and made a ‘house’ shape with my body and every blanket I slept under.
